Rds 3/4 - Rockingham >
After being 5th fastest in the morning session
of Friday practice,
all was looking good
for qualifying at Rockingham for rounds 3&4. More

The opening rounds of the 2008 Renault Clio Cup were held at Brands Hatch, and me and the team wanted to start this season where we left off at Thruxton last year in the top ten.

Friday testing was held in torrential rain, and when Saturday qualifying rolled around, it was dry, leaving me at a disadvantage as we hadn’t tested at Brands pre-season. So to come away with 9th was a brilliant result. Two consistent lap times meant I started 10th for the second race.

The heavens opened while we were sat on the grid (on slicks!) waiting for the race to start, I managed to avoid the inevitable chaos on the first lap to come round to meet the safety car in 9th.
