BRANDS HATCH contd...
Through the race I managed to catch up with
the pack ahead, and passed Law with only a couple laps to go. Finally finishing in 11th for a slightly disappointing result. But at least I'm through!
After an aborted start because of a red flag and the time constraints of the BTCC, our race started a lot later than planned, but this actually played out quite nicely as the track had now dried out considerably.
I got another good start and slotted into a nice position and crossed the start line in 16th after the first lap. After letting the race settle down, and get my tyres fully up to their working temperature, I started on my best race to date.
On the 7th lap, I got Steve Wood as I passed him on the run out of Paddock Hill, two laps later Lanik spun off just ahead of me gifting me a free place. The lap after that Williams spun narrowly missing my car.
