Rds 3/4 - Rockingham >
After being 5th fastest in the morning session
of Friday practice,
all was looking good
for qualifying at Rockingham for rounds 3&4. More

After a good day of testing on Friday, I suffered in qualifying when the tracking on the front wheels was bent out of shape, probably from me hitting the kerbs to hard. So after what could have been a good top ten qualifying turned into an 18th and 16th, I had it all to do on race day.

With the luck carrying over to race day, I spun out avoiding an accident involving two spinning cars in front down through Craner curves on the first lap, which ended up with me being beached in the gravel.

The second race was much better, as I climbed from 16th to 11th in a hard fought race, and was still gaining on the cars in front when I ran out of laps. But I was relatively disappointed though when my race lap times were only 0.3 of a second off of the winner’s times. Showing we had the pace to be running right up at the sharp end, just a bad qualifying ruined the weekend.
