team wanted to start
this season where we
left off at Thruxton

Rds 3/4 - Rockingham >
After being 5th fastest in the morning session
of Friday practice,
all was looking good
for qualifying at Rockingham for rounds 3&4. More

A reasonable qualifying saw me lying in 12th. In my qualification race I gota decent start, and was fending off Gaffney for the first half off the race.Then, coming down the craner curves, I was forced into taking it offline due to defending against Gaffney as I had dropped a wheel off at the exit of Redgate corner, I lost the back end of the car mid corner, and was struggling to keep any control over the car. I managed to stop it just before I ended up in the gravel, but had lost a lot of places. I got the car going again and finished the race in 16th.

It was torrential rain all day on the Sunday, so much so that the Formula BMW races were cancelled until later in the day. But as we were heading out, the sun had started to come out, and the track seemed to be drier than expected. We had been given two green flag laps, and as I was so far back on the grid, I would have had to make up at least 13 places just to get into
the points.More...
