team wanted to start
this season where we
left off at Thruxton

Rds 3/4 - Rockingham >
After being 5th fastest in the morning session
of Friday practice,
all was looking good
for qualifying at Rockingham for rounds 3&4. More





   
 

Oulton ParK CONTD...
Sat in the Amery team awning, we watched it rain all afternoon, but as our race neared it started to dry up here and there. Just perfect for trying to choose which tyres to go out on. The entire field went to the assembly area on wets, but me and the team were sure it was going to dry up, and therefore took the huge gamble of being the only car to go out on slicks.

As we entered the assembly area, and the other teams and drivers saw our choice, a rush was started to bring in their own slicks, but they sat next to the cars, seemingly waiting for one of the front-runners to change first. Only Bentley changed to slicks before the race started.

We had two green flag laps, and straight away I knew we had made the right choice, and as Dom came to check everything was ok on the grid, he told me the Seat touring car drivers had just come in from their race, and had agreed we'd made the right decision.
