Hatch, and me and the
team wanted to start
this season where we
left off at Thruxton
last year in the top ten. more

Rds 3/4 - Rockingham >
After being 5th fastest in the morning session
of Friday practice,
all was looking good
for qualifying at Rockingham for rounds 3&4. More
   
  Pulling into the pits halfway through qualifying, I was in 3rd, and although we knew we’d probably drop a few places before the end of the session, we decided not to go back out. We ended up dropping to 7th and 10th.
After making a good start, I was boxed in into the first complex, losing one place to Ridley-Holloway, but a great run out of Goodwood meant I could pass him down into the final set of corners on the same lap. Despite massive pressure from drivers behind as I was trying to pass drivers in front, I managed to hold my position, and finished the race in 7th.

The second race didn’t start so well, as I got sandwiched by a car either side down the start straight which on inspection after the race had taken a two inch chunk out of the rim of my front left wheel (it was a miracle I finished at all). I had a good race, and passed a few cars mid way into the race, and as my car started to suffer more and more from the damage I received on the first lap, I spent the final laps defending my 7th position. I just about held on, and took a good 7th from 10th on the grid. Later protests from another team about Ben Winrows start were upheld when it was discovered he had jumped the start, his resulting time penalty dropped him behind me, and therefore improved my finish to 6th.
